One of the many reasons would be that this is the first year you will have the trolls with you, and you are very excited. Mainly, the exciting thing is that you're spending the holidays with your favorite troll, KARKAT VANTAS.
This excites your for a variety of reasons. One would be explaining all the entertaining parts of holidays, like food and candy, and by gods, even mother fucking SANTA CLAUS. Tavros Nitram stood somewhere in the outskirts of a school playing field, trying to figure out what exactly was going on. Currently, according to the schools fitness teacher, Professor Zahhak, a game of football was in play, but that could have meant anything to Tavros as he wasn't sporty in the slightest; to Tavros' knowledge, every other game that was played on this field involved a bunch of people chasing after a ball, big whoop.

They hadn't realized it but they had closed their eyes, so, as they opened them and began to take in their surroundings they were totally shocked. Instead of fire and stuff like before, this realm of the Nightosphere was like looking into the night sky. Well... Exept there were doors floating around in midair in all different sizes and shapes and colors.
"Hey! *cough* cough*," The sisters jumped, Marshall covered his mouth and cleared his throat. "All the doors lead somewhere different, keep that in mind." He gave them a wink and the portal vanished, leaving a door in it's place.
